Steps to Fix Internal Error 2932


Internal Error 2932 is a serious Windows problem that is usually encountered when you are trying to install SR-1 component for Office 2000 or the SR-1 update on an NTFS drive partition with power user privileges on your Windows 2000 system. The error happens because Windows for some reason or other unable to correctly process one of the files or settings it requires for the installation of SR-1 for Office 2000.

The error you're seeing will generally show in this format:


  • Internal Error 2932: Please contact product support for assistance.

The error you have is basically caused by the way in which your system will be unable to correctly read the files / settings it requires to run Office 2000 SR-1. It's a well known problem that if you attempt to upgrade your Office 2000 software to the SR-1 edition, it could cause a number of errors including the 2932 issue. To resolve this problem, it's recommended you first ensure the software of your system is working correctly, and then you fix any of the potential settings errors that your system may also have.


Steps to Fix Internal Error 2932

You can fix Internal Error 2932 by first repairing any of the programs which are leading it to show. This can be done by first clicking onto the "Add / Remove Programs" applet of your PC and then removing any of the programs which are causing issues inside. This will not only allow your computer to correctly read the software's files again, but will also ensure that your computer can correctly process the settings & options it requires to run any updated part of the software. After removing the program causing the errors, you should then look to re-install the application from the updated installation medium, of possible. This should also be accompanied by updating Windows - which can be done by accessing the "Windows Update" program from "Start > All Programs > Windows Update".

After you've done that, you should then look to apply the "DisablePatch" setting inside the registry. This setting basically prevents your computer from being able to install various "patch" software programs on your PC, of which Office 2000 SR1 is. To do this, you should load up "RegEdit.exe" from C:\Windows\System32 and then change the value of this setting to apply it.

If you cannot perform these steps manually then you need to use a Registry Cleaner to stop error code 2932. Windows Registry is integral part of the operating system that stores vital data in form is keys and codes. If there is corruption in entries then your computer would run slowly and unreliably of course.
