Fixing Runtime Error 339 By Yourself

Runtime error 339 is c common computer error which means a particular OCX (Object Component Extension) file is either missing, damaged or unreadable on your PC. The error often occurs when you either install a program, or when you use an application for the first time and your PC finds it cannot use the OCX file it requires. If you have this error, you can fix it quite easily by first ensuring the mentioned file is okay on your system, and then repairing any further errors your system may have.

The basic cause of this error is that a particular ".ocx" file cannot be read correctly on your PC. OCX files are component files which are used to help Windows software to load up a series of different functions on your system. If you have errors caused by a particular.ocx file, it generally means that there are either problems with the file itself, or with the registry database of your computer.

The way to resolve the Runtime 339 error on your PC is to first ensure that the.ocx file quoted in the error is working correctly. This can be done by deleting the file from your system and then replacing it with a file from the Internet. This will basically "refresh" the file on your system and allow your PC to read it properly again. It's often the case that updated programs or general use will damage the particular file on your PC, preventing it from running correctly. Repairing the damaged file by replacing it on your PC should allow your system to read it properly again.

Probably the most effective way to get rid of the Runtime 339 error is to use what's known as a "registry cleaner" application. These are software tools which will scan through the registry database of your computer and fix any of the errors & problems which are inside. The registry database is a central storage facility which keeps a list of all the OCX & DLL files on your PC, and is used continually by your programs to help then read all the files they need to run.
