How to Speed Up a Slow Running Computer

Slow computers can get highly frustrating to all computer users, and thus it makes sense to try to fix the problems. To speed up slow running computer operation, however, requires a number of different things to be done on your computer. This is not an easy task especially for an average computer user. Even if you an expert in the field, there is always the possibility that you end up taking one wrong step - deleting a required registry entry instead of that of an invalid program, for example, and this can cause immense problems to your computer or simply crash the whole system.

So, What is Causing Your PC to be Slow?

While it might be viruses or even spyware slowing down your computer, generally, it is more than likely PC registry corruption strangling your computer's speed. In fact, it is junk blocking up computer registries that triggers more slowness problems and also PC errors than all other kinds of potential troubles. Definitely, it's not your only possible reason behind a computer speed loss; however it is the trouble I search for first as soon as I see a PC that is missing its quickness.

Speed Up A Slow Running Computer By Reformatting Computer

One way to effectively restore your CPU back to its original state is to reformat your entire PC. This method will erase all the faulty programs and viruses from your CPU's hard drive and give you a brand new start.

However, this technique is rather long and tedious. Also if you do not know how to reformat your system yourself, you may need to pay a computer technician to do it for you. It is recommended that before you reformat your CPU that you back up all your files so that you do not lose anything important.

Speed Up A Slow Running Computer By Uninstalling Unneeded Programs

Installing too many programs occupies a large amount of disk space and makes a computer suddenly slower. That is why keeping a small number of programs is recommended.

Here are the steps to uninstall the unwanted programs:
1. Click Start | Control Panel.
2. Click Programs | Uninstall a Program.
3. Select a program that you wish to remove.
4. Click Uninstall button.
5. Follow the on screen instructions.
6. Restart the computer after completion.

However, to speed up slow computer requires much more than such simple operations. You will need to fix registry errors. This difficult to do manually but you will see the improvement immediately after fixing the registry errors and restart your computer. I will fix my registry error at least once a week.

I installed some software recommended by a specialist from IT consultancy Toronto and hopefully I won't have problems with it... I need to work in good conditions on my computer.
