How to Fix Spoolsv Exe Application Error

Spoolsv.exe is executable file of Windows operating system, this file handles the printing process of the computer system. It is used to run spooled print as well as fax jobs. Although not indispensable to running your system, it shouldn't be terminated until it is determined to be the cause of system problems. If so, you will typically receive an error message that reads:

  •     “The exception Integer division by zero.
  •     (0×0000095) occurred in the application at location 0x7100273a.
  •     Click on ok to terminate the program
  •     Click on CANCEL to debug the program”

For computers to be useful and serve the purpose they are supposed to do they must be reliable. They should not require any tinkering to get them going, actually all you should need to do is press the power button and wait a few seconds for the computer to switch on properly. Any computer errors can stop this from happening.

The spoolsv.exe error is just one example of a computer error which can have devastating consequences. There are actually a number of different reasons for this error.

The most common reason of this error can be the excess of .SHD and .SPL files. SHD file contains the information about the sender of the print job and to what printer these files have been transmitted. SPL files are important for drawing commands. These files were created by print spooler to save the data about the print job. This error can cause the gear use of CPU of the computer, even 99% or 100%. This can happen because of the overflow of the spool folder and printer is incapable to execute the print jobs, but it still attempt. This process wastes all CPU, and your computer becomes hung.

To fix the Spoolsv.exe error you will first need to take a look at the exact causes of the problem. If it's because of too many spooler files on your computer then you will need to stop the printer service and then delete the SHD and SPL files on your computer.
